Hi,
I’ve kaspersky anti-virus installed on my computer and today I’ve got my keyshot and render processes killed and keyshot.exe deleted…
Well that is strange, I just uploaded it to virustotal.com and the results came clean and Kaspersky is one of the scans it does.
These are the results: VirusTotal - File - 6051e152410813a54900e7f854335727f3721dce3f79ec970b44aca6ead32d26
I used Kaspersky in the past but currently use ESET so not sure what Kaspersky tries to detect these days but I can imagine it might block something if it suddenly accesses a lot of files to prevent ransomware for example. That would mean that it’s more the behaviour of the .exe file instead of the .exe file itself. Like I had once some batch renaming program deleted by my virus thing because it touches a lot of files in a short time period.
I would contact Kaspersky and ask them what you can do about it.
Just kill Kaspersky instead. Nobody knows which data it collects from your PC
Yeah… Kaspersky is not a software any PC builder or IT pro recommends based on my reading. The built-in firewalls on Windows is typically more than sufficient.
